Dr. med. Jan Thiemeier

After his Abitur (1996) in Hattingen an der Ruhr and two years of civil service in a hospital and a retirement home in his hometown, Jan Thiemeier studied medicine at Berlin´s Freie Universität and Amsterdam´s Vrije Universiteit respectively. He completed his degree in 2006 and obtained a doctorate in medicine in 2007. 

In the course of his training to specialise in the field of internal medicine he worked in different departments in Berlin´s St.Joseph-Hospital and Auguste-Viktoria-Hospital with a focus on kidney- and heart disease, the specialised field of diabetes, (commonly affecting both organ systems)  as well as emergency medicine in the emergency ward and the ICU.
